MIKE - MATT KILO
Los Angeles actor Matt Kilo has been acting since childhood. A
fixture at Zombie Joe's Underground Theater in the North Hollywood
arts district, Kilo is also an aspiring writer and has performed
several one man vignettes at Zombie Joe's. Powell, after seeing
Kilo perform one of his one man vignettes, went home and wrote
"Quitters" and the role of Mike for him. "Kilo
just had this manic energy and extraordinary facial expression
that said 'on the edge' to me. After that, the script just wrote
itself.

BRADLEY BONGLOAD - JOHNNIE OBERG, JR.
Oberg
came into "Quitters" through Joanne Powell who was also
the storyboard artist and script supervisor on the film. "I
really should've given her a casting credit for that one,"
confesses Powell. Oberg was perfect from the start. "We met
for lunch and, at one point, I asked him to act stoned and order
a cup of coffee from the waitress. It was such an amazing and subtle
performance, I wasn't sure if he really was stoned or not. After
she left and Johnnie looked at me with this little twinkle in his
eye, I completely lost it and knew I'd found Bongload". Oberg
just recently filmed a national commercial spot for Toyota. Expect
to see a great deal more of him in the future.

SPENCE - D.W. MILLER
Miller's
acting background is overshadowed, perhaps, only by his martial
arts training and expertise. He has been trained in every style
of sword but also specializes in Tang Soo Do, Ninjutsu, and Kung
Fu. An actor since age eight and an alumnus of the American Academy
of Dramatic Arts, Miller is primarily a stage actor with an extensive
resumé, although he's not new to the screen having had the
lead in "Defiance" and supporting roles in "The Boston
Strangler" and Michael Ritchie's "The Fantasticks".
Miller also came into the film through Joanne Powell. "I really
should've given her a casting credit for that one," confesses
Powell.
