WRITER/DIRECTOR - ANDREW R. POWELL

Writer/director Andrew R. Powell felt the subject matter would make a perfect comedy. "Quitting smoking isn't fun," he observes. "It's painful, frustrating, and causes all kinds of irrationality and mental distress. That's pure comedy." Powell makes his writing/directing debut after 16 years as a noted film and TV composer with over 300 credits for clients like NBC, CBS, ABC, Tri-Star Pictures, Castle Rock Entertainment, Universal Pictures, The Disney Channel, The History Channel, and Nickelodeon. He has recently done an increasing amount of work as a film editor cutting the music videos "Mercury", "Che's Song", and "River Thames" for director Kurt Voss ("Baja", "Amnesia", "Down and Out with the Dolls"), the documentary "The Making of Border Radio", a Spike TV interstitial for director Allison Anders ("Gas, Food, and Lodging", "Mi Vida Loca", "Four Rooms", "Sex and the City"), and a 35mm film for director Alex Ugelow.

CINEMATOGRAPHER - ERIC PETERSEN

With over 10 years experience, cinematographer Eric Petersen's client list includes TLC, The Discovery Channel, ESPN, SpeedVision, and AOL/Time Warner. Petersen got his start as a video-journalist which is evident in the action sequences in "Quitters". His recent work on the feature "The Utopian Society" has garnered much attention including a Best Cinematography in the Ashland Independent Film Festival.
